A lock device, preferably for an electronic device such as a computer, comprising a housing, at least one rotating hook 300 comprising front-end 311 and rear-end 320 portions, the front-end portion protruding from the housing, a driving device 700 moveable to change the position of the hook, and a lock body to restrict movement of the driving device. Preferably there are two hooks pivotable about the same axis 102 and the driving device comprising a knob 650 which rotates a force applying member 600 with a portion 621 that engages a guide ramp 530 on a driving member 500 to push it down in the axial direction and between the rear ends of the hooks separating them. The driving device may be biased 710 in the extended position. Another embodiment has a rotational driving member with a plurality of driving portions of different sizes, when a driving portion is selected it is then moved in the perpendicular plane to separate the rear-ends of the hooks a different distance. A third embodiment has a driving member moving in the plane of the hooks to separate the rear ends.
