To properly transmit to a server, valid data used to generate traveling track data for automatic driving while appropriately avoiding various problems assumed due to an increase in a data volume by suppressing an amount of data transmitted from a vehicle side to the server that generates the traveling track data for the automatic driving.SOLUTION: A vehicle image data generation device 2 recognizes an image of at least one of base map data, aerial photograph data, and navigation map data; recognizes image data generated by an on-vehicle camera 22; and also performs data communication with a server 3 that generates traveling track data for automatic driving. The vehicle image data generation device 2 is comprised of: a section image data generation unit 11 that generates image data for each section from image data generated by the on-vehicle camera 22 as section image data; and a data transmission unit 21 for transmitting the section image data generated by the section image data generation unit 11 to the server.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
