A method for producing graphene quantum dots using coffee bean powder as a carbon source, and graphene quantum dots produced thereby. With the manufacturing method of the present invention, an economical and high-yield graphene quantum dot can be produced, and the obtained graphene quantum dot has low toxicity and is doped with nitrogen and has excellent electrical properties.
