PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decomposition prediction method for removing trace pollutants in secondary waste water by ultraviolet rays/sodium persulfate. The method includes the following steps. (S1) Using p-chlorobenzoic acid and naproxen as reference substances, a reaction kinetic model between a target pollutant, p-chlorobenzoic acid, naproxen and free radicals under UV/sodium persulfate is established. (S2) A target contaminant, p-chlorobenzoic acid, and naproxen are added to an actual water sample, and oxidative decomposition is performed using a UV/sodium persulfate advanced oxidation process. The free radical content is calculated according to the decomposition effect to p-chlorobenzoic acid and naproxen using the (S3) model to predict the decomposition of the target pollutant.
