PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet molding compound capable of obtaining a fiber-reinforced composite material in which warpage is sufficiently prevented even when carbon fibers are contained as reinforcing fibers. A resin composition containing at least one of a vinyl ester resin and an unsaturated polyester resin, a thickener, a polymerization initiator, a polymerization inhibitor, and a specific ethylenically unsaturated compound is reinforced.
