The present invention relates to a method of controlling a three-phase Vienna rectifier type power factor improving circuit (11).The power factor improving circuit (11) comprises three switching arms (S1, S2, S3) connected to respective phases of the three-phase supply network.Each switching arm (S1, S2, S3) has a high switch (1H) and a low switch (1L).The high switch (1H) and the low switch (1L) can be controlled with respect to the positive and negative supply network currents by a control signal having a duty ratio corresponding to the set current at the input of the rectifier.During each set current, only two of the three arms are systematically switched according to the sign change of the set current.The switching state of the switch is changed between two arms switched by changing the duty ratio depending on the value of the inter phase voltage at each point.Diagram
