An apparatus for providing microcurrent stimulation to an area of a body comprises an electrical power source), a wearable component 10 adapted to be worn on an operator's hand or on fingers of the hand, and a switching controller. The wearable component 10, e.g. a thimbles or glove, includes a first electrode 12 and at least a second electrode 14 disposed on different areas of the wearable component and electrical connection means 26. The switching controller, which may be controlled by a control interface 34 operated by a touch control 36, can selectively deliver an electric current to the first electrode 12 or to the second electrode 14. The apparatus may include two wearable components, one to be worn on each hand of the operator. The device may be a disposable rubber glove with detachable cuff portion containing the controller; electrical connectors provide connection between the removable controller and each conductor connecting to an associated electrode.
