A resistor having a low temperature coefficient of resistance is provided. A resistor having a low temperature coefficient of resistance includes a resistance portion and two conductive portions connected to opposite sides of the resistance portion. One conductive portion includes a through slot and a sensing portion located between the through slot and the resistance portion. The through slot comprises two interconnected sections. Each section extends to a closed end and comprises a parallel component parallel to the main current direction defined by the resistor and a vertical component perpendicular to the main current direction. Another resistor having a low temperature coefficient of resistance includes a resistor portion and two conductive portions respectively connected to two sides of the resistor portion. Each conductive portion comprises a protruding block extending outwardly in a direction perpendicular to the main current direction defined by the resistor, and a sensing portion on the protruding block.
