Further, multiple propulsion coils (104) may be arranged in the first direction (103) on one or more of the rails (102). The carrier device (202) may further comprise a number of propulsion modules (206). The propulsion coil (104) on the rail (102) may be activated to exert an electromagnetic repulsive force on the propulsion module (206) of the carrier (202) for propulsion of the carrier (202).
