PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce resistance in a positive electrode for a nickel-hydrogen battery while reducing the addition amount of a cobalt material. A positive electrode for a nickel-hydrogen battery comprising a positive electrode mixture and a positive electrode current collector, wherein the positive electrode mixture contains nickel hydroxide particles as a positive electrode active material, and the surface of the nickel hydroxide particles is metallic nickel. A positive electrode for a nickel-hydrogen battery, which is coated with particles, wherein the positive electrode mixture contains at least one cobalt material selected from metallic cobalt and a cobalt compound in an amount of 1% by mass or more and 3% by mass or less.
