The method involves receiving a WebRTC session description object by an agent for distributed policy enforcement (12) of receiver device such as corporate user device (28), emanating from transmitter device such as external user device (40) and addressed to receiver device. One or more corporate policies are determined based on WebRTC session description object by the agent for distributed policy enforcement. The one or more corporate policies are applied on the WebRTC session description object, and it is determined whether the object coincides with expected description object format. An independent claim is included for a system for applying corporate policy on interactive web real-time communication (WebRTC) session.
