PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional nucleic acid molecule targeting nitrite-oxidizing bacteria, which plays an important reaction in a biological wastewater treatment process, as a microorganism detection tool. A nucleic acid molecule comprising at least one of the polynucleotides (a) to (d) and specifically binding to nitrite-oxidizing bacteria. (A) a polynucleotide consisting of a specific nucleotide sequence, (b) a polynucleotide consisting of a nucleotide sequence having 90% or more identity to any of the nucleotide sequences of (a) above, which binds to nitrite-oxidizing bacteria. Nucleotides, (c) a polynucleotide having a specific base sequence different from (a), (d) a base sequence having 90% or more identity to any of the base sequences of (c) above, A polynucleotide that binds to nitrate-oxidizing bacteria.
