METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CALIBRATING GNSS SIMULATORS

The invention relates to a method and a device (10) for determining an internal bias (12), with respect to a reference clock signal (14), of a GNSS simulator (16) providing as output a radio band radio signal (GNSS signal) in RF band (18). The method includes executing a scenario by the simulator in which the theoretical bias between the GNSS signal and the reference clock signal is known. The method also includes digitizing the GNSS signal, generating a replica of the GNSS signal code, evaluating a correlation function between the GNSS signal and the code replica, identifying a correlation peak of the correlation function and the deduction of the internal bias of the simulator. The correlation function is evaluated by Fourier transformation and inverse Fourier transformation. The internal bias of the simulator is deduced on the basis of the identified correlation peak and the theoretical bias. The invention can be used to calibrate GNSS simulators and therefore, indirectly, to calibrate GNSS receivers.
