To provide a line-of-sight detection device that enables detection of a line of sight (starting point and line-of-sight direction) with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A line-of-sight detection device detecting a person's line of sight comprises: an imaging unit 10 that photographs an image of the person's face; a projection unit 20 that projects predetermined pattern light on the person's face; a control unit 30 that controls the presence/absence of the projection of pattern light performed by the imaging unit 10 and projection unit 20; and a line-of-sight detection processing unit 40 that detects a line of sight from the image of the person's face photographed by the imaging unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
