The invention relates to a method applied to at least one transistor power module (Mpw) for use in a photovoltaic inverter for accelerated aging thereof, said method comprising in particular an application of a power cycle (C_pw) to said module a power profile imposing an input current profile, said input current profile comprising: - several successive cycles (Ci), each cycle (Ci) comprising several successive phases: ○ a rising current phase up to a high current value (IMAX_i); A holding phase at said high current value during a first non-zero duration; ○ a phase of descent in current until a low value (IMIN_i) of current; A holding phase at said low current value during a second non-zero duration;
