Arrangement in a motor vehicle comprising a cladding element (18) mounted on a door entry structure element (15), composed of an internal reinforcement (10) and an external sheet metal element (14) having a wall (12) of longitudinal orientation, the covering element (18) extending in a longitudinal plane parallel to that of the wall (12) of the external sheet metal element (14) and a flange (20); ) extending in a transverse plane towards the structural element (15) from an end edge of the cladding element (18), an edge (200) of the flange (20) being provided with an end portion (22) forming a recess having a U-shaped profile, consisting of two inner (222) and outer (220) branches parallel to the plane of the covering element (18) interconnected by a wall of transverse bottom (224), the outer branch (220) bearing against one end (120) of the partition (12), so that together form a rabbet (24), the reinforcement (10) having a first partition (102) extending in a longitudinal plane bearing against a portion of the partition (12), characterized in that the reinforcement (10) comprises a against-support (110) forming a device for limiting the deformation of the covering element (18) when the latter undergoes a force exerted in a substantially longitudinal direction.
