The invention relates to a method for controlling the distribution of the radiofrequency magnetic field in a nuclear magnetic resonance imaging system (10), comprising the steps of: disposing a voluminal antenna (1) in a permanent magnet (11) providing a permanent magnetic field (BO) along a first axis (Z), and supplying the volume antenna with a radio frequency signal, so that it generates a radiofrequency magnetic field (B1) rotating in a plane perpendicular (XY) to the first axis, and placing an electromagnetic resonator (EMR) having a resonance mode excited by the rotating magnetic field (B1), the resonator being disposed at a position in or around the volumetric antenna and at a distance (h) from a region to be analyzed (PA) of an object to be arranged in the voluminal antenna, the resonance mode and the position of the resonator relative to the volumetric antenna being adapted to adjust the intensity of the magnetic field. ue turning in an area of the region to be analyzed.
