The invention relates to an electrolyzer spacer and an electrolyzer equipped with such a spacer. A spacer (100) of a substantially annular shape for an electrolytic cell (3) comprises: - a peripheralportion (101) having two main faces (105, 107) parallel and opposite to one another, wherein a distance separating the two main faces (105, 107) defines a thickness (200) of the spacer (100), and - aninner portion (103) having a thickness (201) strictly smaller than the thickness (200) of the spacer (100), the peripheral portion (101) and the inner portion (103) are integral and connected to eachother to form an inner annular shoulder so that the inner portion (103) has a substantially annular intermediate face (111) extending in a plane parallel to the two main faces (105, 107) of the peripheral portion (101) and located between the two main faces (105, 107).
