A stand (1) for an elongated medicament delivery device (2) having a distal end (21) and a proximal end (22), the stand (1) comprising a base section (15) for supporting the stand (1) on a support surface (18); a holding section (13) for receiving the distal end (21) of the medicament delivery device (2); and a body section (12) arranged between the base section (15) and the holding section (13); wherein the holding section (13) is configured to hold the medicament delivery device (2) in a substantially vertical orientation when the base section (15) is positioned on the support surface (18). The holding section (13) comprises an elastically deformable material for providing an elastic squeeze fit around the distal end (21) of the medicament delivery device (2) when received in the holding section (13). A system (20 comprising an elongated medicament delivery device (2) and a stand (1) for supporting the medicament delivery device (2) is also provided.
