Portable X-ray fluorescence analyzer for analysis in a substrate of a building room element, the analyzer comprising an interactive touch screen, an actuating trigger and a measuring head provided with a radiation source and a detector, a window being disposed on a front face of the measuring head, opposite the source and the detector; the measuring head being provided with a movable contactor between a so-called stopping position, where the contactor is protruding from the analyzer, and a so-called first safety position, where the contactor does not protrude from the analyzer; the measuring head being provided with a shutter shutter movable between a so-called closed waiting position and a so-called open analysis position, the passage of the shutter shutter from the closed position to the open analysis position being controlled by the contacting the contactor against the substrate to be analyzed and simultaneously actuating the actuating trigger; the analyzer comprising interactive measurement scenario control means according to an operating mode known as indexed measurements, a description file of the building room being stored in the analyzer, the description elements of the local being displayed on the screen interactive touch, before analyzing at least one chemical element in the substrate.
