This acetabular implant with dual mobility (2) comprises a metal cup (3) intended to be fixed in an acetabular cavity, the metal cup (3) comprising a substantially hemispherical inner cavity (5); and an insert (4) hingedly mounted in the inner cavity (5) of the metal cup (3), the insert (4) being delimited externally at least in part by an outer spherical surface portion (13), the insert (4) comprising an inner cavity (10) having an inner spherical surface portion (14) for hinged and retentive mounting of a prosthetic femoral head (11), the insert (4) being made of polyethylene with a plurality of high molecular weight at least partially crosslinked. The polyethylene with very high molecular weight constituting the insert (4) has a degree of crosslinking decreasing from the pole (16) of the insert (4) to an equatorial portion (9) of the insert (4).
