METHOD FOR ESTIMATING A HEALTH STATUS INDICATOR OF A LITHIUM BATTERY AND ASSOCIATED ESTIMATION DEVICE

As the battery is characterized by a thermal signature relating to a charge, or a discharge, of the battery at a given speed, the estimation method comprises, during a charge phase, or discharge phase, the battery at the given rate, a first step of calculating a characteristic duration d (t) between a first characteristic instant t of the charging or discharging phase, and a second subsequent characteristic time of the charging or discharging phase, and a second calculating step an estimate of the health status indicator of the battery by the relation SOH (t) = 100 - (ΔSOC (t0) - ΔSOC (t)), where - ASOC (t) is equal to 100.d (t) / dtot representing the total duration of the charging or discharging phase, at the beginning of battery life, - ΔSOC (to) is equal to 100.d (to) / dtot, t0 representing a start time of battery life and d (t0) having a predetermined value.
