The invention relates to a tailgate for a motor vehicle comprising a window (4) and a plastic interface element comprising an upper part (6), a lower part and a central part, tailgate in which the interface element plastic material comprises a sealing strip for a seal (2) and at least one connecting member with the body of the vehicle, selected from the group consisting of: a hinge; a lock ; a balancing jack attachment; a stop, and wherein the interface element (5) of plastic material comprises a connecting zone (11) connected to the pane (4) bordering thereof. The tailgate according to the invention is characterized in that the connecting zone (11) and the window (4) are in direct and continuous contact with each other.
