The present invention relates to transmitting to a base station a request message including a resource request that indicates a number of discovery messages for a D2D discovery announcement for which assignment of D2D resources is requested; receiving from the base station a resource scheduling message for assigning D2D resources for the D2D discovery announcement in response to the resource request; and transmitting the D2D discovery announcement using at least one of the D2D resources indicated by the resource scheduling message.
