The present invention discloses a data processing method, an optical line terminal, an optical network unit, and a system. The method includes: generating, by the optical line terminal, downstream data, where the downstream data includes first indication information and at least two first data fields, the first indication information is used to indicate a modulation level of each first data field, the modulation level of the first data field is a modulation level of a destination device, and at least two first data fields at different modulation levels are included; modulating, by the optical line terminal, the downstream data, where each first data field is modulated based on a modulation level of the first data field, and the first indication information is modulated based on a modulation level of the first indication information; and sending the modulated downstream data on a same wavelength channel.
