The present disclosure generally relates to the field of location services in wireless local area networks. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a technique of supporting provisioning of one or more of a plurality of rules of a policy managing entity provided in a core network of a communication network. The policy managing entity is arranged between an access point of a wireless local area network and an authentication server of the core network of the communication network. A method embodiment comprises: receiving (S504), by the policy managing entity from the access point, an access request message comprising location information and identification information of a terminal in the coverage area of the access point, the identification information uniquely identifying the terminal; and evaluating (S506), by the policy managing entity, one or more of the plurality of rules to be applied based on the location information.
