Bibliotecas de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires y Socialismo : Labor Asociación de Bibliotecas y Recreos Infantiles principios de Siglo XX

This paper investigates on the labour and activities of the Children`s Libraries and Resorts Association for the infancy in the City of Buenos Aires by the beginning of the twentieth century, for initiative of womens in the Socialist Female Center. For this, was developed various aspects in relation to the subject as:the origin and objectives of the Association, its manner of financing, the development of their activities (reading, hiking, music, painting, theater, journalism, etc.), the collection development (books and toys) and reading. In the following titles, are linked: the worry for infancy in the socialism environment, the importance of the child as a social phenomenon, as a future adult, and Children`s Libraries and Resorts Association and pedagogical ideas. The methodology for this study has been the documentary analysis, consulting primary and secondary sources.
