The ambient gamma radiation exposure level was measured using a scintillator at selected locations around Mysore. In addn. to this, the natural background gamma spectrum at the Department of Physics was also recorded using high-purity Ge detector. The result reveals that the ambient gamma radiation exposure level ranges from 50 to 200 ngray/h. [on SciFinder(R)]
