摘要

The report discusses the status of children with disabilities in full year HeadStart programs in 1989-1990. It is based on the Program Information Report (PIR) survey for that year, a survey to which all programs responded. In 1990 Head Start programs were funded to serve 454,693 children. However, the total number of children who were actually served during the year was 521,266. This total enrollment figure includes children who were enrolled for less than a full year but received some services, and is the base figure used to calculate the percentage of children with disabilities served.
