摘要

The design of modern subsonic civil aircrafts requires a detailed knowledge ofboundary layer behavior over the aircraft. Wind tunnel experiments are needed to obtain the necessary design information and to provide test data for numerical validations. The primary purpose of the present work was to gather experimental data over the quality of the boundary layer flow developing on the bottom wall of a newly built wind tunnel in order to assess its suitability as an experimental tool for fundamental research on the structure of turbulent boundary layer flows in both subsonic and transonic flow regimes.
