摘要

In this paper we describe a numerical solution method for the incompressibleNavier-Stokes equations in complex geometries. We use a finite volume technique in combination with boundary-fitted coordinates. The physical domain is mapped onto a computational domain consisting of a number of regular blocks. In this paper we restrict ourselves to the one block case. In these problems it is important to obtain fast iterative methods to solve the discretized equations. This is easier using a finite volume technique instead of a finite element technique. Finally the structured grid enables us to develop a fast implementation of the methods on vector computers.
