Influence of Electrolytes on the Miscibility of Liquid Mixtures

Densities and relative viscosities were measured for ternary mixtures consistingof water-1-propanol with added electrolytes as function of temperature, composition of two solvents and concentration of each electrolyte using ubbelhode viscometer. The electrolytes used were lithium chloride, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, strontium chloride, and barium chloride.
