Effects of Landscape Fragmentation on Migrant Songbirds: Implications forFloodplain Restoration

摘要

The objectives of this study are: (1) to quantify abundance of migratorysongbirds, and brood parasitic cowbirds in tracts of varying sizes and corridors of varying widths; (2) to quantify nesting success of migratory songbirds in relation to tract size and corridor width; (3) to measure mammal communities in relation to tract size and corridor width; and (4) to measure movements of brood parasitic cowbirds in relation to tract size and proximity to feeding areas.
