摘要

The objective of the BRITE/EURAM project has been to establish a model which canserve as a foundation for estimating the residual service life of concrete structures. An important aspect is how to evaluate the information about the condition of a particular concrete structure in order to know when and how a cost effective repair can be done. The mechanisms studied in the project were reinforcement corrosion, frost attack and alkali-silica reaction (ASR) and the combination effect between these mechanisms. The project has been a collaboration between units from Sweden (CBI, LTH, Cementa AB), England (British Cement Association, BCA) and Spain (Torroja Institute, Geocisa). CBI has made research contributions in the fields of corrosion, synergetic effects between ASR and frost attack and ASR and corrosion. In this report the synergetic effects between ASR and frost attack is treated.
