This decision document presents the selected remedial action for the NationalElectric Coil Co./Cooper Industries Site, in Dayhoit, Harlan County, Kentucky. The major components of the selected remedy are as follows; extraction of contaminated ground water from the site's alluvial and bedrock aquifers; treatment of contaminated ground water using an air stripper tower; discharge of treated ground water to the Cumberland River under KPDES requirements; and catalytic oxidation of air stripper off-gases.
