摘要

The purpose of this program was to develop two service credit banking programs(SCBP) which will provide informal services for persons 55 years of age and older and younger, disabled persons. Project design includes (1) to strenthen and expand the existing community-based service credit banking program located in a low-populated, rural area, (2) to establish a service credit banking component within an existing, county-wide, inhome care program operated by this Agency. An Advisory Council was established for each project. The two projects are; (1) 'Friends Serving Friends' community-based program in Stockwell, Tippecanoe county and (2) 'White County Helping Hands' county-based program in White County. They will provide more informal services to those in need, intergenerational opportunities will continue to be expanded, socialization opportunities of members will be enhanced and isolation of members reduced. An Evaluation of the program was completed by Purdue University, Health Promotion Divison, Department of Health, Kinesiology and Leisure Studies.
