Recovery Plan for the Threatened Marbled Murrelet ('Brachyramphus marmoratus') in Washington, Oregon, and California.

The Regional Director, Region 1, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Portland, Oregon, established the Marbled Murrelet Recovery Team in February 1993. The Teams direction was to develop this Marbled Murrelet Recovery Plan and assist in determining critical habitat for marbled murrelets. Affected Federal and state agencies were requested to provide nominations for participation on the Team as consultants. Agency participation was integral to the discussions of available information and development of this recovery plan. Based on work done by the Recovery Team and comments from the public, critical habitat was designated for the marbled murrelet on May 24, 1996.
