Interim Old-Growth Definition for Cypress-Tupelo Communities in the Southeast

An interim definition of old-growth cypress-tupelo forests is presented to assistin management of these communities until comprehensive defintions based on research can be formulated. The basic criteria for identifying old-growth cypress-tupelo (Taxodium distichum--Nyssa aquatica) communities in the South are presented.
