Alalbama's Timber Industry: An Assessment of Timber Product Output and Use, 1995

In 1995, roundwood output from Alabama's forests totaled 1.3 billion cubic feet.Mill byproducts generated from primary manufacturers amounted to 471 million cubic feet. Almost all plant residues were used primarily for fuel and fiber products. Pulpwood was the leading roundwood product at 698 million cubic feet; saw log ranked second at 473 million cubic feet; veneer logs were third with 94 million cubic feet. The number of primary processing plants was 211. Total receipts amounted to 1.4 billion cubic feet.
