摘要

Toxicity tests using standard effluent test procedures were conducted with211u001eceriodaphnia dubia and fathead minnows and four endangered fish species: bonytail 211u001echub (Gila elegans), Colorado squawfish (Ptychocheilus Lucias), razorback sucker 211u001e(Xyrauchen Texanus) and Gila topminnow (Poeciliopsis occidentalis). We conducted 211u001e7-d survival and growth studies with embryo-larval fathead minnows and analogous 211u001eexposures using the listed species. Survival and reproduction were also 211u001edetermined with C. dubia. Tests were conducted with: (1) carbaryl; (2) ammonia; 211u001eand (3) a mixture of carbaryl copper, 4-nonylphenol, pentachlorophenol, and 211u001epermethrin. This study was conducted with fish species that have not been 211u001etypically tested so factors such as handling procedures, optimum feeding rates, 211u001eoptimum test temperature, expected test to test variation and expected survival 211u001eor growth have not been previously documented, and therefore results of this 211u001estudy should be interpreted cautiously.
