Evaluation of Earthquake Damaged Concrete and Masonry Wall Buildings: Technical211 Resources

This document is one of three to result from the ATC-43 project funded by the211u001eFederal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The goal of the project is to develop 211u001etechnically sound procedures to evaluate the effects of earthquake damage on 211u001ebuildings with primary lateral-force-resisting systems consisting of concrete or 211u001emasonry bearing walls or infilled frames. The procedures are based on the 211u001eknowledge derived from research and experience in engineering practice regarding 211u001ethe performance of these types of buildings and their components. The procedures 211u001erequire thoughtful examination and review prior to implementation. The ATC-43 211u001eproject team strongly urges individual users to read all of the documents 211u001ecarefully to form an overall understanding of the damage evaluation procedures 211u001eand repair techniques.
