This decision document represents the United States Environmental Protection211u001eAgency's (U.S. EPA) selected final remedial action for the Site located in 211u001eWoodstock, Illnois. The U.S. EPA, in consultation with the IEPA, is modifying the 211u001elandfill cap profile, and the requirement to construct a groundwater pump-and-211u001etreat system to address residual vinyl chloride contamination in the upper water-211u001ebearing unit, downgradient of the landfill. This remedy is intended to be the 211u001efinal action for the site, and addresses all contaminated media, including: 211u001econtaminated soil, sediment, and groundwater, landfilled wastes, leachate 211u001egeneration and emission of landfill gases.
