This document represents TDI-Brooks’ Cruise Report for the Lophelia II Project Cruise 5 for contract number: M08PC20038, issued by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management “Deepwater Program: Exploration and Research of Northern Gulf of Mexico Deepwater Natural and Artificial Hard Bottom Habitats with Emphasis on Coral Communities: Reefs, Rigs and Wrecks.” The cruise was completed on R/V Brooks McCall from 14 – 24 July 2012. The cruise mobilized in Freeport, TX and de-mobilized in Pensacola, FL. This report provides detailed information regarding operational procedures, stations occupied, and sampling activity. Results reported were obtained by analysis of the sampling information and data during the cruise and immediately afterward. Results will possibly be revised.
