Exhaust and Evaporative Emissions Testing of Flexible-Fuel Vehicles

This report describes an investigation into the evaporative and tailpipe emissions of FFV's using fuel blends of E6, E85 and intermediate blends of the two. The Pilot Program measured the exhaust emissions response to an abrupt change in fuel composition, as if a vehicle had operated for a period on E6 and been refueled with E85 (or vice versa). The main program covered both exhaust and evaporative emission measurements, over a range of driving cycles for all fuel blends.
