摘要

Seven dogs were allowed to breathe 30 percent CO2-70 percent O2, for two hours followed by 40 percent CO2-60 percent O2 for an additional two hours. Atterial blood samples were drawn before, at the termination of CO2 breathing. Hemoglobin and pH determinations were made on blood; and sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium, bicarbonate, chloride, protein, and phosphate determinations were made on plasma.
