The d-c and a-c magnetic properties of the following materials were measured over the temperature range from -60°C to 500°C:AISI silicon-iron grades M-36, M-22, M-19, M-l4, M-6, Armco Oriented T-O-S, Hiperco 27,-Hiperco 35, and 2.6% aluminum-iron. The data presented are:normal magnetization curves at various temperatures, normal permeability versus magnetizing force at various temperatures, coercive force and residual induction versus temp¬erature, and total core loss at various inductions versus temperature. It is found that the low field permeability increases with increasing temperature, and the high field permeability decreases with increasing temperature, with a region between these two modes of variation in which the permeability is relatively stable over a limited temperature range. The coercive force, residual induction, and total core loss are all found to decrease with increasing temperature.
