A NEW CONCEPT OF TRANSPORTATION MOVEMENT A SYSTEM FOR CARGO MOVEMENT IN THE COMMUNICATION ZONE

The present transportation movement system is unsatisfac¬tory in speed and accuracy. Since it does not operate effectively, the present system also fails to provide satisfactory training for personnel involved and encourages disregard for, and evasion of, movement programming. With existing methods and facilities, the present transportation movement system cannot meet the planning and scheduling requirements of an emergency. Because the present system is unsatisfactory in current operations, train¬ing, and expected future performance, it should be replaced.nThis system will work in any overseas theater, under any condition, both in peace and during emerge3ncies. Furthermore, it will function properly under varying command structures and in different geographical situations.
