DIMENSIONAL ANALYSIS OF SEED MOISTURE MOVEMENT IN DEEP-BED DRYING

The deep-bed drying of rice seed was investigated. Experiments were conducted in a model drier at various levels of air flow rate, air temperature, and initial seed moisture. Dimensional analysis was used to obtain a prediction equation for the determination of instantaneous seed moisture and drying front.
