摘要

The mercury photosensitized decomposition of N2O in the presence of CO-CH4mixtures was studied at 548K. From the competition between CO and CH4for O(triplet P),the ratio k1/k2was found to be 1.0,where Reactions 1and 2are O(triplet P) +CO yields CO2and O(triplet P) + CH4yields CH3 +HO. Reaction 1is second order at the pressures used in this study (>250torr,mainly N2O). Furthermore the HO radical produced in Reaction 2can react with either CO or CH4:HO +CO yields H + CO2and HO + CH4 yields H2O + CH3. An approximate value for k4/k3 = 1.0was obtained. A reexamination of the determination of k2indicated that its value is 2 - 10time smaller than previously reported. (Author)
