Summary of the Health Programmes of the Afghan National Health Programme, 1355-1361

The purpose of this document is to provide a basis for implementation of the strategies outlined in Afghan National Health Programme (ANHP). All documents have been prepared according to the Programme Formulation Guidelines adopted by the Planning Team and tested in the workshop which took place in September 1976. A programming committee was appointed by the Minister of Public Health for each of the ten programs areas for which documents were prepared. The Health Planning Team, the chairmen and the rapporteurs of the Health Programming Committes met on 24th February 1977 and discussed the salient features of all programme documents. Certain changes were proposed and accepted in order to achieve a well balanced set of health programmes.
